General Contractor in Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County is big and varied, from beachfront condos in Boca Raton and Highland Beach to equestrian estates in Wellington and new communities in the west. We build and remodel across the county and handle permits with each town's building department.

What makes building in Palm Beach County different

  • Outside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Palm Beach is not in the HVHZ, so windows, doors and roofing need Florida Product Approval at the design pressure each opening requires, not HVHZ approval. That widens product choices and can lower costs. Homes are still designed for high wind speeds.
  • Many building departments. The county has 39 municipalities, each with its own permit process, and the county itself issues permits in unincorporated areas.
  • Local design review. Some cities add their own review on top of the permit. Boca Raton's Community Appearance Board, for example, reviews exterior changes to buildings other than single-family homes.
  • Condo milestone inspections. The state milestone law applies to condo and co-op buildings three habitable stories or taller, which covers many coastal towers.
  • Homeowner associations. Much of the county is in planned communities, so HOA architectural approval is often part of the schedule.
